As a result, the control board blocked all functions, leaving the microwave completely inoperable while the lower oven remained powered.

- Genuine Parts: We sourced and installed a brand-new original KitchenAid OEM high-temp door interlock switch. We recommend replacing the entire switch bracket assembly to ensure perfect alignment with the door hooks.
- Professional Installation: As shown in the photo, repairing a built-in combo unit requires careful extraction from the cabinetry using professional lifts. We disassembled the top electronics housing, discharged the high-voltage capacitor for safety, and replaced the defective switch.
- Testing: We performed a door-latch continuity test and a microwave leakage test. The unit now starts instantly when the door is closed, and all safety protocols are fully functional.
The root cause was a failed Primary Door Interlock Switch. The microwave display was active, and the timer would count down, but the unit failed to heat, and the glass turntable would not rotate. In GE built-in models, a faulty door switch breaks the high-voltage circuit and the motor drive as a safety precaution, even if the door appears tightly closed.

- Professional Installation: As shown in the diagnostic photo, we disassembled the outer cabinet to access the switch bracket. We safely discharged the high-voltage capacitor, replaced the defective switch, and cleaned the door strike pins for a secure mechanical connection.
- Testing: Conducted a continuity test on all interlock circuits and verified that both the heating system and the turntable motor engaged immediately upon starting a cycle.
