MAYTAG OVEN REPAIR IN AUSTIN: FIXING TEMPERATURE SENSOR & HEATING ISSUES
Our diagnostic revealed that the oven temperature sensor (RTD) was sending incorrect resistance readings to the board. Essentially, the sensor was "tricking" the control board into thinking the oven was much hotter than it actually was, causing the system to shut down the heating circuit for safety.
The Solution
To get this Maytag oven back to peak performance:
- Diagnostic: We tested the temperature sensor's resistance and found it was out of range. We also verified that the control board was functioning correctly but receiving false data from the faulty sensor.
- OEM Sensor Replacement: We replaced the defective part with a genuine Maytag OEM temperature sensor. In high-heat appliances, using original parts is vital for accurate calibration and fire safety.
- Control Board Verification: After the replacement, we ensured the control board was now maintaining steady voltage to the igniter throughout the entire heating cycle.
- Calibration Test: We performed a full-cycle test to confirm the oven could now successfully reach and maintain 450°F without cutting out.

Heating element went out in our dryer. Uniqpro technician Dimitri was wonderful. He also found that white thing in the middle was very worn. He gave the entire dryer a checkup! He replaced the white thing at cost of the part. Very clean, affordable, professional. Fast response with accurate quote.
